Last year more than 50 million people joined the #GivingTuesday conversation worldwide and trended on Twitter. Land For Good is joining the conversation to raise awareness of our farmland access challenge – and what’s needed to put more farmers on more land.
In the week following Thanksgiving, Americans will spend millions of dollars in the shopping frenzies around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday is December 3rd. A day to give back. It’s one powerful day of giving that reminds us that giving means much more than buying material goods or exchanging gifts – it means volunteering at a local shelter, helping out a friend in need, and, of course, donating to worthy causes.
You can help close to home by supporting Land For Good’s mission of putting more farmers more securely on more land in New England and beyond.
Since 2004, Land For Good has been providing caring support and expert guidance to help farmers, landowners and communities navigate the complex challenges of land access, tenure and transfer. Their comprehensive and collaborative approach achieves customized solutions and helps realize family, farm business and community goals. As a result of their good work, hundreds of farmers have accessed farmland and thousands of acres remain in active farming. Entire communities have benefited from increased farming opportunity, healthy lands, and a more secure food supply.
